How many people fit in a CanAm Maverick X3?Our CanAm X3 models allow up to 4 people with ample space for everyone. If you want more extreme sensations, the Maverick R is designed for 2 people and offers a high-performance thrill.

What do I need to bring with me to pick up my CanAm?Only your driver's license and the credit card you used for booking, are required for the rental.

What is the minimum age to operate a CanAm UTV in California?To drive a UTV in California, operators must be at least 16 years of age and have a valid driver's license. In addition, any person under the age of 21 must have a parent sign the rental agreement and complete the rental process with them. If kids require car seats in all other cars/vans, they will also require them in the CanAm.

I am afraid of speed. How fast does the CanAm go?You don't have to be scared; you can drive as fast or as slow as is comfortable for you. Some people like to race across the desert, but it's completely okay to enjoy a slow and steady pace. We always advise driving at speeds where you feel comfortable and in control.

How does damage insurance work?All rentals come with damage insurance, which carries a $1,500 deductible. That means you're responsible for up to $1,500 of any damage. For example, if the UTV rolls over, there is a flat $1,500 repair charge. A $1,500 credit card authorization is required at the time of booking, but is only charged in the event of damage.

In California, are UTV riders required to wear helmets?Yes, helmets are mandatory for safety. We include them in your rental package.

Do you need a license to operate a UTV in California?A license isn't required for off-highway UTV operation in California. However, state law prohibits anyone with a suspended or revoked license from driving any on- or off-road vehicle.

Can I drive a UTV on-road in California?For the most part, UTVs are not allowed on public roads in California. To make transportation a little easier, RentMeFun offers trailer rentals to take your UTV wherever you want to explore.
